NBC is owned by Comcast. And Comcast is awful at everything because they basically have a monopoly in many regions and a colluded oligopoly in most of the US. So they don't have to produce a good product because they have no competition. They can produce garbage and everyone will buy it because they have to.
NBC and Youtube TV sucks. Exact same treatment for Tennis Grand Slams. I will open up a European bank account and subscribe to Eurosports (30 pounds per year vs $89/month youtube.tv) . I think there is no other solution than completely bypassing American TV channels.
Try balkaniyum TV for live Olympic coverage and more Serbian sports. But I believe their Men's basketball team lost to Italy and did not even make the Olympics
